i <br /> MINU'S'ES August 30, 1990 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> variance of 191 from owners proposed septic to abutting well , <br /> (Kumin) , Title v variance of 101 from owners well to abutting <br /> septic, (Lumsden) , and a 501 local variance from proposed <br /> septic to edge of wetlands. <br /> Ms. K min questioned as to whether her well could be af- <br /> fected with - the close proximity of Mr, colellals proposed <br /> septic system. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, one of the two existing cesspools <br /> on the lot maintains the same distance from the proposed sep- <br /> tic. Mr. colella maintains a valid building permit, the up- <br /> grade is not warranted but will ensure a more suitable system <br /> for the addition. Mr. McQuaid commented, in his opinion, <br /> proposed plans, based on lot size, delineate the most fe - <br /> sible location possible for the upgrade. <br /> Ms. Kumin questioned whether the proposed system will <br /> accommodate the additional dowelling on the lot, <br /> Mr, Greelish stated this issue was addressed, Mr. <br /> olella has removed the plumbing in the garage. . <br /> Mr. Evans verified this as he did inspect the premises. <br /> Mr, McQuaid commented a condition will be placed oin the <br /> building permit to ensure the garage is not utilized as liv- <br /> ing space. <br /> Mr, costa requested lir. Sullivan to delineate on plans <br /> the water service line from the well to the house. <br /> Mr. Sullivan agreed. <br /> Mr. McQuaid recommended -the engineer certify, upon final <br /> inspection, that any plumbing from the existing garage be <br /> disconnected. <br /> Board members agreed with Mr. McQuaid's recommendation. <br /> Mr. Furlani voiced his concern with the system being in- <br /> stalled according to plans and requested all work be per- <br /> formed as soon as possible. <br /> Mr. Iumin questioned the Board as to whether his well <br /> wound be affected by the close proximity of the proposed <br /> leaching 'area due to ground water flow. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, in his opinion, the natural flow <br /> of the water is away from his lot. <br />
