MINUTES March 20, 1989 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> G, There shall be a seperate room or loft for storage of <br /> • - grain and other dry feed. <br /> . - Land of which horses or ponies are pastured, shall be fenced <br /> in such a manner as to prevent any damage to, property of <br /> abutters. Fencing shall be of sufficient strength and height <br /> to restrain the animals at all tires. <br /> 6. ) No horse or pony shall be allowed to be pastured on any land <br /> unless said area is fifer 0 feet from a hone or dwelling. <br /> -7, Any owner or keeper of a horse or pony rust provide stabling <br /> facilities for same. No horse or perky shall be allowed to <br /> remain out of doors at all times, without having access to <br /> proper shelter. . <br /> . person, company or corporation shall r ct, up, or <br /> use a building for a livery or horse, or pony stable e f r� the <br /> Keeping of horses or ponies unless such stable or building <br /> is more than 200 feet from a church or school building and <br /> is more than- 50 feet from a building that is used - as a dwell- <br /> - <br /> nYYY...RRR or home. C 1 <br /> 9. Owners of stables housin 'hoses or ponies must clean the <br /> mature from the stable at least once a day. <br /> 1 <br /> A. No manure or used bedding material shall remain outside <br /> the barn unless collected in compost piles or picked up <br /> reguiarly by a manure collection firm. <br /> B. The manure or used bedding -stockpiled for collection <br /> shall be adequately covered to eliminate- odor, flies <br /> or other} nuisance.. <br /> C. - Compost piles shall be a minium distance of 150 feet <br /> from any private well , 400 feet from any public well <br /> and 200 feet from any wetland. <br /> 1 . Any person, company or corporation- engaged in or desiring to. <br /> enga-ge in the bus i nes s ,of s l aughte i rng horses for the purpose <br /> of rendering them, shall apply to the Board of Health for a <br /> license as required by the Massachusetts General taws, Chapter <br /> lli , Section 154. <br /> 11 . The Mashpee Board of Health reserves the right to'ma e any <br /> decision on situations or problems that arise in regards to <br /> health or- housing co.nd-i ti ons that are not covered by -these <br /> regulations. <br /> 1 . All dead horses and/or ponies shall be disposed of at the dir- <br /> ection of the animal inspector and/or Board of Health. <br />
