Letter from dept. of Public .Health r : Guildelines for medical waste <br /> on beaches - Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to forward a copy of <br /> this information -to the Police Department. <br /> . Copy of letter from agent to trash haulers re: Payment Bond - Mr. <br /> Costas stated the Town Treasurer has informed hire that interest accumu- <br /> lated will not be returned to the haulers. <br /> Mr. McQuaid questioned#the Board as to when the town landfill will no <br /> longer .accept haulers. <br /> r: *Costa stated as of 'Jul'y 1 , .1989 haul rs ' i l-1 no longer be permitted <br /> to enter the landfill' area. <br /> { kk k <br /> Mr. Costa stated Mr.,, DeMaggio has not provided the" performance bond as <br /> requested on 'this date and Foo mented Mr. DeMa io' s Attorney has not <br /> responded to phone calls made. y Mr. Costa. stated Mr., De[ agq i has <br /> indicated letter of-, credit has been preparre,doby his bank however~ <br /> Town Counsel has not responded a s ,to -whether. a letter of credit will <br /> be acceptable. <br /> M . McQuaid to contact Town Counsel by telephone <br /> requesting his opinion as to whether the letter of credit is acceptable. <br /> 10. ) Let-ter or complaint re: Lapp i o' s barn - Mr. McQuaid stated the Animal <br /> and Assistant Animal Inspector' s were conducting barn inspections today <br /> and will provide a written report on this barn and other barns in town. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated the Lapio barn has expanded its number f stalls, <br /> than what was originally proposed, by nine. <br /> Mr. Costa stated he believes this natter is currently in litigation i th <br /> the town. <br /> Mr. Costa requested Mr, 1Quaid to consult with the Building Inspector <br /> as to the cbrrent status of the property and report back to this Board <br /> with his findings. <br /> 11'. ) Request for ten food stands at Loretta Jones ' Pow-Wow, July 1-4. 1989 - <br /> .Mr. Costa stated the Chief and Police and Fire Department have approved <br /> the request for a Pow-Wo with' restrictions, however the Building In- <br /> spector has denied the request, (this disapproval is attached to the <br /> end of these minutes) . <br /> . Gree l i s h motioned to decry this request for application of a Pow-Wow <br /> s- this request would be considered a health hazard due to Board of Health <br /> agents unable to provide adequate coverage, and public safety as opera- <br /> tion of two pow-wow' s simultaneously would create traffic io prblems, Mr. <br /> Costa seconded. Mr. Greelish stated prior to this Board's reconsidera- <br /> tion <br /> econsidera- <br /> tion of application would prefer to have this combned with the currently <br /> scheduled Tribal Council pow-wow, it would be reviewed that this Board <br /> would grant additional permits for the Tribal Council Pow-Wow site to <br /> accomodate these people if they so request. <br /> Mr. Costa stated this Board is in agreeance with Mr. Boyd' s determina- <br /> tion that this pow-wow is not a non-profit organization* <br />
