Y
relating to affordable housing that ran in the Mashpee Enterprise over the past couple months,
including an editorial I did. I have received notification from DHCD that we have been awarded
$1,500.00 to hire a consultant to prepare a Capital Improvement Plan for Mashpee grousing
Authority. I am awaiting a call from our Project manager in order proceed. A
copy of this correspondence is in your tile.) 1099s and 1 -2s have all been pressed and sent
out. I ani staring to process the annual recertifications for Homeyer Village and Breezy Acres.
FYI: I will be taking a one-geek vacation starting tomorrow, January 1 , 2003.
OLD BUSINESS:
Develogment ld Barnstable load, firs. Botsford stated that she has spoken with the
consultants who are helping with the development plan for Old Barnstable Road. DHCD is
working with several housing authorities who are in similar situations i.e. own unutilized
property where current 705 family units currently exist). DHCD is considering allowing
Mashpee to become part of this group who will ultimately use a modular home design that
DHCD will develop and pre-approve so that the housing authorities will not have to go out for
individual al bids. This process Will take quite a bit of time and we do not expect anything to b
happening in the near future.
NEW BUSINESS:
Credit Card for Housing Authority: Mrs. Botsford initiated a discussion about the housing
authority obtaining a credit card for purchases necessary that are over and above the petty
cash allotment, or for purchases at places other than where we already have accounts. The
card would be used instead of Mrs. Botsford using her personal credit card when she travels, as
well. After a brief discussion, a notion was made by Ms. Finton and seconded by Ira
Hol ever to investigate rates and apply for a major credit card for Mashpee Housing
Authority. The notion was adopted.
brief discussion ensued regarding road-rescue cards.
OTHER BUSINESS: none
COMMUNICATIO S/CORRESPONDENCE: In addition to the ores already discussed,, Mrs.
Botsford stated that, in an attempt to help alleviate our budget constraints, she has seat
letter to the Town of r ashpee requesting that they waive our P.I.L.o.T. (Payment in Lieu of
Takes) for this year. She is awaiting a reply.
Mrs. Botsford stated that she has to have surgery on February 10, and is expected to be
recuperating for at least 4 days. She asked the board ghat they wished to do about the
February 9 meeting i.e. reschedule, cancel, bold anyway). After a brief discussion, a madon
was made by Nis.
