5 <br /> EW BUSINESS** <br /> ESS** <br /> Awardinq of contract. Boiler Replacement BreeZy Acres. With regards to the public bidding for four <br /> boiler replacements at Breezy Acres, State-aided project [ H D #172007, Ms. Botsford reported that <br /> there were six bids. She is recommending the board award the contract to the low bidder, Blaha <br /> Plumbing & Heating, who hid $19,895. All of their references were good. A motion was made by Mfr. <br /> Laporte and seconded by Mr, Halpern to award the boiler replacement contract to Slaha <br /> Plumbing & Heating as recommended by the Executive Director. The motion was adopted. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: <br /> CPA (Community Preservation Act) update/Report from liaison: Mr. Halpern gave a brief update, <br /> including that no applications would be funded this round including the housing authority's application for <br /> funding for the Rental Assistance Program. It was suggested that we re-apply and maybe shover some <br /> statistics or other information about how other similar programs have been successful. <br /> ELECI ON of OFFICERS: The chairperson announced the opening of nominations fo,election of <br /> Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners for the Mashpee Housing Authority. A motion was made <br /> by Mfr. Halpern and seconded by Mr. Laporte to nominate David Harsch for the position of <br /> Chairperson. The notion carried unanimously. The chairperson announced the opening of <br /> nominations for election of ice-Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners for the r ashpee Housing <br /> Authority. A motion was made by Mr. Harsch and seconded by Nis. Allen to nominate Richard <br /> Halpern for the position of Vice-Chairperson. The notion carried unanimously* The <br /> Chairperson announced the opening of nominations for election of Treasurer of the Board of l <br /> Commissioners for the l iashpee Housing Authority, A motion was made by Ms.Allen and seconded <br /> by Mr. Halpern to nominate Francis Laporte for the position of Treasurer. The motion carrier! <br /> unanimously, The Chairperson announced the opening of nominations for election of Assistant <br /> Treasurer of the Board of Commissioners for the [ ashpee Housing Authority. Amotion was made by <br /> Mr. Harsch and seconded by Mr. Halpern to nominate.dill Allem for the position of Assistant <br /> Treasurer. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> Annual Report by.Executive Director: Mrs. Botsford stated that she had mailed her annual report to <br /> the board previously. There were no questions, but Mr. Laporte commented that Mrs. Botsford had <br /> gotten a lot accomplished in the past year despite with having to deal with the aftermath of her accident. <br /> The board complimented her on a job well done. Mrs..
