Executive Director's Deport <br /> For the month of May 2008 <br /> Program update: <br /> t <br /> Homg er,Villag Village/667: We had all rents paid in full at Homeyer Village and we are 100% occupied, <br /> although two tenants have given notice to move by the end of June, and we have given notice to a third <br /> tenant to move by the end of June.This means that vire will have three unit turn-overs to do all around <br /> the same period of time (this is usually the amount of turn-overs that vire budget for in a 12-month <br /> period). As usual, the monthly newsletter was sent out to all residents. elle had to replace one washing <br /> machine it was more economical to get a new one, versus replace the broken parts). Members of the high school's Key Club carne to sher's Path to help serge a dinner and <br /> their put on a play for residents. we are hoping to plan regular activities with the Key Club starting in the <br /> fall. A thank you card has been sent. Residents had a bake sale and raised enough money to purchase a <br /> grill. gill rules were agreed upon and incorporated with the housing authority"s outdoor gill Policy. <br /> Annual recertifications have been started and will continue through June. The side door access work is to <br /> start June 2 and handicapped ramping and rail work was started in late May. The landscaping looks <br /> great and the challenge will be how to keep money in the budget for this in gears to come. <br /> Misc.: <br /> The monthly MI VP AHVP/DMH reports were submitted. <br /> The monthly Energy Consumption reports were submitted. <br /> 1 attended the following meetings:, MassNAHRO Professional Development 4 <br /> Committee meeting, and the Spring MassNAHRO conference, at which I presented <br /> for Updating Policies & Procedures (the SHADO and SMEDA meetings are not held <br /> in May) <br /> 1 attended a Tac Credit training at MassHousing. <br /> The Waiting List update was finished for the Horneyer Village. <br /> + I've received notification that the Planning Grant Application to Mass Housing <br /> Partnership(MHP)for the Breezy Ages expansion project has been approved. First <br /> meeting is set for early Jure. <br /> The boiler bidding took place and we had five respondents. The low bidder carne <br /> in within budget and the award of the contract will be on the agenda for,dune. <br /> I had a conference call with Melissa Fish and Alyce Tracey of Peabody Properties to <br /> review our goals&objectives. All of therm have been addressed and we have a <br /> plan for moving forward. one of the things that needs to be worked out is how m <br /> salary for managing Asher"s Path (which will come from Peabody Properties) will <br /> filter to the housing authority to cover the site's share of my salary. I have a <br /> meeting with Tom.boy on June 6 to discuss. <br /> AHVP Vouchers* We have 2 AHVP vouchers. <br /> MRVP Vouchers(Mobile): Currently we have 18 voucher holders in Mashpee. <br /> MRVP Project Based Vouchers: We currently have 38 PB Vouchers teased. <br /> DH I Program: We currently have 3 leased. <br /> Section 8: We currently have 10 Housing Choice Vouchers leased in Mashpeet <br /> -4 - <br /> i <br />
