5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 11, 2002 <br /> Continuance—VFW Liquor License Hearing_ <br /> The above referenced agenda topic was deferred at this time. <br /> EDIC— 11 Acre Site/Grant Amendment: <br /> The above referenced agenda topic was deferred at this time. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Administrative Assistant—Conservation: <br /> Pauline Beaulieu was the recommended candidate for appointment to the <br /> full-time position of Administrative Assistant to the Conservation . <br /> Department. Ms. Beaulieu has work experience which has included over <br /> thirteen years in the administrative secretarial field. She has excellent <br /> communication skills and a strong background in computers. <br /> • Motion made by Selectman Taylor to appoint Pauline Beaulieu to the <br /> full-time position of Administrative Assistant to the Conservation <br /> Department as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Approval of RFP—Senior Center: <br /> For the Selectmen's review was a copy of the Senior Center Request for <br /> Proposal reflecting a proposed budget of$2.1 million dollars. The sum of <br /> $190,000 was previously appropriated to the Building Committee for <br /> design services. The project budget totals $2,290,000. <br /> It was noted that the Selectmen recently approve a budget of$1.9 million <br /> for the project. The budget of$2,100,000 was noted to be all-inclusive. A <br /> site in the area of the Fire Station and Boys and Girls Club has been <br /> selected for the new Senior Center. The Committee is scheduled to meet <br /> with appropriate abutters on Tuesday of this week. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the Senior Center RFP <br /> as presented in the amount of$2,100,000 as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Uveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
