t
Page 7
h
Treatment capacity does not exist at this time but could be provided in the westerly region of the service area. All
wastewater would be conveyed uphill to reach the proposed treatment area. The longest pumping distance
would be approximately one mile.
We would anticpate that this area could easily be servied with a STEP collection system. We would not require
list stations as all STEP system would eaily pump directly to the point of treatment. We sould suggest that more
detailed evaluation of the commercial properties would be required to determine the onsite infrastructure and the
costs that would be necesssary for tieing them into a STEP collection system.
High School Site Collection Area
The High School service area is an established area that is predominantly residential with a limited amount of
small commercial properties. In total there are about 730 properties to be served. The service area is located
adjacent to a small lake with a topography that varies about 40'. The topography can best be described as
undulating. An aerial of the area is show below:
a
tE,.
There is some existing treatment capacity, although expansion is required to service this area in its entirity. The
longest pumping distance would be approximately 1.8 miles.
We would anticpate that this area could easily be serviced with a STEP collection system. We would not require
lift stations as all STEP system would eaily pump directly to the point of treatment. The undulating topography,
long pumping distance and large service area would likely be difficult for a grinder pump system to service
without the addition of a lift station.
