6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 5, 2019 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Hearing: Parking y Permit Only on Seconsett Island Road (Continued from July 22, 2019): <br /> (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> In discussing this matter the Board of Selectmen decided to restrict parking on the Seconsett Island causeway <br /> to resident parking only to be consistent with the hours and dates of the other beach/landings in the Town of <br /> Mashpee. <br /> It was agreed the information regarding the beach and/or boat landing and the deeded rights would be further <br /> clarified. It is the intention of the Board of Selectmen to take this matter under advisement, and vote on the <br /> specifics at the regular Selectmen's Meeting on Monday, August 19, 2019. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The matter of wastewater will continue to be discussed at the August 19, 2019 Selectmen's Meeting. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Acceptance of Resignation from the Conservation Commission; Associate Member <br /> (Term to Expire June 30, 2020): Stephanie Simpson: <br /> Correspondence was received from Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent dated July 23, 2019 recommending <br /> the Board authorize the resignation of Stephanie Simpson based on her verbal communication to resign via <br /> social media contact. Ms. Simpson was requested to provide a letter/email to state her intent to resign. Despite <br /> repeated requests a letter has not been provided. Ms. Simpson has not been attending Conservation <br /> Commission meetings, and has not communicated regarding her attendance. <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to accept the resignation of Stephanie Simpson as an Associate <br /> Member of the Conservation Commission with regret. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br />
