MINUTES December 3 , 1992 7 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> AP 30I TM dT: Michael McGrath - 7 Beach Road <br /> Mr. Michael McGrath was in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. <br /> Mr. McGrath presented revised plans before Board members <br /> and relayed he has abandoned the two flow diffusers as <br /> originally proposed. <br /> Mr. Greelish relayed, he made a site visit to the prop- <br /> erty and noted the topology would create a problem with <br /> drainage. "Subsequently, we reviewed the topology datasub- <br /> mitted on plans and find ar discrepancy between what was noted <br /> at the site and topology delineated on plans. " "We requested <br /> the Building Inspector to intercede since it essentially re- <br /> duces the overall effectiveness of the s ptic systems in the <br /> area including the proposed system. " <br /> Mr, McGrath relayed,, "we are still proposing to regrade <br /> the reserve in the event it ever needs to be 'Installed with- <br /> out any changes in the topography" . "The three flow diffus- <br /> ers,, <br /> iffus- <br /> ers, as delineated on plans, will handle the required capac-- <br /> i ty. rl <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "if the engineerl's intention is to <br /> raise the right-of-way 1311 then I would recommend the Build- <br /> ing Inspector address the grading and drainage problem caused <br /> ti by the Cloran property, prior to any work beginning on the <br /> drivewayll * "This action would not preclude the Board from <br /> approving the Title v system a.s proposed. " <br /> Mr. Greelish informed Mr. McGrath he would like him to <br /> coordinate efforts through the Building Department and this <br /> office. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, "when the pert test was performed <br /> in the new location of the proposed leaching facility there <br /> was not 41 of naturally occurring permeable soil" . <br /> Mr. McGrath responded, "there are alternating layers of <br /> organic ratter and sand, loam layer and loa " * �r I would o <br /> willing to perform a perc test at the time of installation. <br /> f <br /> Mr, Greelish was of- the opinion a -health agent should <br /> witness soils at the time of excavation and make a determina- <br /> tion at that time. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> " r <br /> R <br />
