Report of the work of the Board could not be accomplished without the <br /> Board of A eals <br /> cooperation and input from many of the Town Boards, <br /> agents and departments. <br /> g p <br /> A total of 93 new applications were heard by the Board <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen of Appeals in calendar year 1992. The Board collected <br /> and the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: $12,452.00 in application and abutters fees in 1992. <br /> The Board of Appeals is appointed by the Selectmen Meetings of the Board of Appeals are normally held on <br /> and consists of three sitting members plus Associate the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 <br /> Members as appointed from time to time.The Board acts p.m. at the Town Hall. The Board of Appeals meetings <br /> under the authority of Chapter 40A and 40B of the are always open to the public. <br /> Massachusetts General Laws and the Zoning By-laws of <br /> the Town of Mashpee. Specifically,the Board of Appeals Respectfully submitted, <br /> has the following powers: <br /> John J. Friel, Chairman <br /> 1. To hear and decide Appeals of Decisions of the Michael A. Makunas, Vice Chairman <br /> Building Inspector(or Zoning Enforcement officer,if so Edward M. Govoni, Clerk <br /> designated) by any person aggrieved by reason of his or Cheryl A. Hawver, Associate Member <br /> her inability to obtain a permit or enforcement actions. Arnold D. Mindick, Associate Member <br /> Jamie Regan, Associate Member <br /> 2. To hear and decide applications for Special Permits Elinor K. Walsh, Board Secretary <br /> upon which the Board is empowered to act under the <br /> Town By-laws. <br /> 3. To hear and decide petitions for Variances as set <br /> forth under State statute and Town By-laws. Report of the <br /> PlanningDepartment <br /> 4. To hear and decide etitions for Com rehensive <br /> p p <br /> Permits relative to low and moderate income housing as <br /> set forth by Chapter 40B of the Massachusetts General <br /> Laws. To the Honorable Board of Selectmen <br /> and the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: <br /> A unanimous vote of the three sitting Board members <br /> is required for grant of a Special Permit or Variance I am very pleased to submit to the Board of Selectmen <br /> under Chapter 40A. and to the good people of Mashpee my ninth Annual <br /> Report as your Town Planner.Although reduced staffing <br /> In the Spring of 1992 William J.
