Minutes of Meeting
Design Review Committee
Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Peter said that there is a three quarter inch blue boarder around the
lettering.
Joe recommended that the sign blend in with the other signs, and be more
angled at the bottom.
Charlie said that he would like the corners softened with either a scoop or
rounded edge would fit the signage better. He said that the bottom blue
boarder should match the sign below.
The committee reviewed the changes discussed, and suggested that the
edges be rounded and keep the size within the 60 x 64 inches with the blue
boarder.
Joe made a motion to adopt changes of signs at 680 Falmouth Road for
Rogers Gray rounding and soften both signs. James second. All were in
favor. The applicant can make the changes and submit them to Charlie to
sign off on.
9:00 am Business Name: Mashpee Mart, Inc.
Proiect Address: 44 Falmouth Road
Principal: Mike Caggiano
Agent: Plymouth*Sign Co.
Proposed: One (1) Roof Sign
Request: 3 ft. x 12.ft., 36 sq. ft. non-illuminated roof sign.
Peter represented the applicant for a roof sign above the existing lettering
that is currently above the front door on the fascia. The non-illuminated sign
is 3 ft. x 12 ft., and the colors are depicted as aqua, red and black
Charlie said that no signs can be internally lit. He said the sign bylaws needs
some work, but Section 174-52. (H) on page 123; roof signs shall be
prohibited. Peter said he can build a bracket
arraignment and attach it to the fascia. The braces would technically not be
attached to the roof.
