*DRAFT I MAY 2020 TOWN MEETING WARRANT* Page 25 <br /> Explanation: The Town Clerk's Office has exceeded its capacity to meet its goals of providing the <br /> taxpayers the wide array of services required by state statute and local bylaws in a timely, efficient <br /> manner while maintaining h,iigh levels of customer service. To accomplish the departmental <br /> mission it is necessary to convert a part-time position to a, full-time position. There have been no <br /> changes in personnel since 1995 when the Town Clerk's Office personnel was augmented from <br /> two part-time positions to two full-time positions and one part-time position. In the initerveniing <br /> 22 years, the town's year-round population has grown exponentially from 6,800 to 14,250 <br /> residents which has been accompanied by a commensurate workload. <br /> Article, <br /> To see if the Town will vote to, appropriiate and transfer the sum of$65,000 from the Waterways <br /> Improvement I Fund to the Engi�nieering/Permitting/Dredginig and Associated Expense Account to <br /> cover the costs associated with dredging 5,000 cubic yards of sediment from the PopponeIsset <br /> Approach Channel, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Waterways Commission, <br /> Explanation* This article will transfer funds from the Waterways Improvement Fund to the <br /> Waterways Engineering/Permitti�ng/Dredging and Associated Expenses Account to cover the costs <br /> associated with dredging 5,000 cubic yards of sediment from the PoppIonesset Approach Channel. <br /> Article <br /> To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of$151,000 from the Waterways <br /> Improvement Fund to the Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expense Account for <br /> the purpose of providing funds to be used for ramp safe boating access at ainy of the salt or fresh <br /> water ramps. This will improve safe boating access to and from the ramp or take any action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Waterways Commission <br /> Explanation.: This Article will transfer funds from the Waterways Improvement Fund to scrape <br /> sand piling that has been created over time by boat "power loading" at va,riou�s ramps in Town. <br /> Article <br /> To see if the Town will, vote to appropriate and, tra�nsfer the sum of$20,000 from the Waterways <br /> Improvement Fund to the Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and, Associated Expense for the <br /> purpose of providing surveying services for the Channels to be Dredged or take any other action <br /> relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Waterways Commission <br /> Explanation: The Channels scheduled for dredging will require these services before and after <br /> dredging. <br /> Article <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter 84 Erosion, and, Sedimentation Control of the <br /> General Bylaws as follows.: <br />
