Minutes of Meeting of Design Review Committee Tuesday, July 21, 2020 Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room Charlie has no issues but wanted to know if the height could remain at 35 ft. Jonathan asked why it is virtually impossible to keep the height at 35 ft. John said that the structure and the foundation is a 3-story building and the architect said he could lower it a foot and a half or two, but he felt that there was no way to make it work less than 35 ft. Jonathan asked what the proposed height is. John said its 39 ft. Jonathan said that's a Zoning Board Decision, not a Design Review committee decision. Jonathan thought a 2-story building could be built instead. Jonathan asked if the 3-story building got denied, would they not build at all. John said the applicant is seeking approval as requested on the application. Jon said that he likes the color of the building and the design. Joe said he agrees, and it has minimal impact from Quinaquisset which is important. Charlie asked for a motion to move forward to the Planning Board. Jon made a motion to approve the project as presented for 100 Willowbend Drive for the Clubhouse Villas at Willowbend, 1-6 Unit Condos. Proposed with parking and utility infrastructure improvements, 4,786 sq. ft. footprint/19,150 sf. Including basement and 3 floors. Joe Callahan seconded. All were in favor.
