20. Ensures that navigational hazards and unauthorized moorings are removed from <br /> waterways in a timely manner. <br /> 21. Monitors the docking, anchorage, mooring, and navigation of all vessels to ensure <br /> compliance with laws and regulations. Ensures that docks, rafts, and moorings are <br /> inspected to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. <br /> 22. Directs and coordinates mooring fields, mooring placements, mooring lists and records, <br /> mooring and waiting-list billing, and other activities related to mooring policies, protocols <br /> and regulations. <br /> 23. Oversees and coordinates the collection of all established Town fees and receipts. Ensures <br /> such fees are deposited in a timely manner through protocols authorized by the Town <br /> Manager,.Accounting Department and Town Treasurer. <br /> 24. Responds to inquiries from official's or the public concerning waterways and shelifishing. <br /> ,Provides information to officials or the public concerning regulations. Conducts <br /> investigations into complaints and/or observations that require such action, and files <br /> reports accordingly. Maintains confidentiality of department records and information on <br /> a "need-to-know basis." <br /> 25. Maintains activity and vehicle logs or reports as required. <br /> 26. Prepares for and testifies in administrative and/or court proceedings'as required. <br /> 27. Effectively communicates orally and in writing to subordinates,co-workers,superiors,the <br /> general public, other Town departments, governmental agencies and others. <br /> Demonstrates courtesy and respect in such communication that exemplifies integrity, <br /> dignity., trust and professionalism. Requires a high level of persuasiveness and <br /> resourcefulness to influence the behavior of others. <br /> 28. Ensures that updated information is provided for Town website through the Director of <br /> Information Technology. <br /> 29. Responsible for all Town harbors., shorelines, channels, lakes, ponds, rivers, waterways, <br /> piers and moorings under his/her jurisdiction. Ensures that Town waterways and lands <br /> are protected to the best of his/her abilities against unlawful, entry, theft, fire and <br /> vandalism. <br /> 30. Responsible for the maintenance and protection of public lands and resources and for <br /> maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under <br /> his/her control and jurisdiction. <br /> 31. Directs,, maintains, and coordinates shellfish resources and populations with the Shellfish <br /> Propagation Program. Recommends changes in the shellfish regulations and <br /> management closure or restriction of fishing areas by the Board of Selectmen. <br />
