Voted <br />50 for, 10 against. <br />Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to establish an <br />expense account for the Board of Health and to appropriate <br />the sum of $25.00 for said account, or take any other action <br />thereon. <br />Action: Amended to read;, raise and appropriate. Voted <br />unanimously. <br />Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to accept Chap- <br />ter 493 of the Acts of 1959 which provides for increasing the <br />amounts of pensions, retirement allowances or annuities pay- <br />able to former public employees. <br />Action: Article accepted as read. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the <br />Selectmen to lay out or define an area between Route 28 and <br />\; Meeting House Road on so-called Ashers Path to be the loca- <br />tion of the new Town Dump and to appropriate the sum of <br />$100.00 to defray the cost of said layout or definition or take <br />any other action thereon. <br />Action: Amended to read: appropriate from available <br />funds in the Treasury. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the <br />Selectmen to appoint a full time Police Chief as provided for <br />in Section 97, Chapter 41, General Laws of, Massachusetts who <br />will be on duty between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. <br />five days a week with no other job commitments during duty <br />hours, and to be subject to call twenty-four (24) hours a day <br />except when relieved by a special policeman, or take any <br />other action thereon. <br />Action: Amended to read: that the Selectmen be au- <br />thorized and instructed to appoint a full time Chief of <br />Police and accept as provided for under General Laws, Chap- <br />ter 41, Sections 96A and 97A, as amended. Voted unanimously. <br />
