38
There are many forms of recreation; this department
hopes to make it possible for our youth to be able to have the
opportunity to enjoy wholesome recreation in their leisure
time.
We need people, who are interested enough, to stand on i
these committees and help to do a much needed job. I am =`
sure that the Board of Selectmen have enough business of F
their own, without having to straighten out our recreation
problems.
{
Respectfully submitted,
SELENA E. COOMBS,
Chairman
Report por of the Harbor Master
i
To the Honorable Board of Selectmen:
The channel markers were painted, reflectors replaced,
and other repairs made before anchoring. The condition of
the buoys bought in 1958 remains good, but the anchor chains
will soon need replacing.
Twelve new spars were made up to be used as needed
for replacements.
There has been very little filling in the channel from
Little River to Waquoit Bay; the depth remains good.
Respectfully submitted,
I JOHN MOORE,
Harbormaster
