96 We are also indebted to the Falmouth School Committee, Superintendent Harry Merson, _ Principal Russell Marshall and the personnel of the Falmouth High School for the good job they do year after year in preparing our Mashpee High School students for higher schools of learning or a place in everyday life. School Committee Mrs. Josephine D. Mills, Chairman of the Mashpee School Committee notified the Committee members and the Super. intendent of Schools early in January that she would not be a candidate for reelection to the School Committee in March. The School Committee and Administration accepted the notification with regret. Mrs. Mills served faithfully, hon- orably and conscientiously at all times having the education and social values of the Mashpee children uppermost in her mind. Mr. George Morrison replaced Mrs. Mills and served ably until it became necessary for him to resign when he estab- lished a residence in Hyannis. The School Committee and Administration recommended to the Honorable Board of Se- lectmen that Mr. Vernon Thomas be named to replace Mr. Morrison and the request was honored. Mrs. Louise C. Costill, the efficient Secretary and mem- ber of the Mashpee School Committee submitted her resig- nation to the Board of Selectmen early in the summer. Her position was filled with the appointment of Mrs. Alice Hicks who also accepted the secretarial post. School Lunch Program Mrs. Marion Hendricks, manager of the Samuel G. Davis School lunch program resigned at the close of the 1964-65 school year for reasons of health. Mrs. Hendricks served cap- ably over the years in preparing and serving nutritious hot lunches to the school children. Mrs. Louise Costill was ap- pointed by the School Committee to the position vacated by Mrs. Hendricks. Custodial Mr. Leigh Potter resigned as part time custodian at the .close- of the 1964-65 school year and Mr. Earl Dixon was ap- pointed to the position. Mr. Dixon served well until his health
