42 <br /> and policies outside the service of the Town, and shall ree- <br /> ommend to the Town any action which it deems desirable to <br /> k <br /> maintain a fair and equitable pay level. <br /> The present Board, consisting of four members, shall <br /> be re-appointed, along with one additional new member mak- <br /> ing a total of five (5). The terms of office of members of the <br /> f ! Personnel Board shall be as follows: One for one year; two <br /> for two years; two for three years. If such member resigns <br /> or his office becomes vacant by his removal from the Town, <br /> or for other cause, the Selectmen shall appoint his successor <br /> for the balance of the unexpired term of such member. <br /> 4*I In making the appointments, the Selectmen shall give <br /> consideration to the personal qualifications of those citizens <br /> who will best meet the responsibility of the Board to repre- <br /> sent both town employees and taxpayers. If possible, the <br /> . , make-up of the Board shall consist of members qualified <br /> who are familiar with the principles and experienced in the <br /> methods and practices of labor relations and personnel ad- <br /> ministration. <br /> After the annual town meeting of March 1969 the new <br /> and/or revised Personnel Board then in office shall take <br /> these plans as their guide in dealing with employees; con- <br /> tinue to hold regular meetings, and come up with a revised <br /> set of By-laws to be submitted to the Town not later than <br /> the 1970 Town Meeting. <br /> The Personnel Board <br /> HENRY J. BOCH <br /> SALARY AND WAGE ADMINIST'RAT'ION PLAN <br /> f (a) The Board shall administer the Plan and shall estab- <br /> lish such procedures as it deems necessary for the proper <br /> administration thereof; and shall make an annual report to <br /> the Selectmen on or before January 1st of each year. It may <br /> employ assistance and incur expenses as it deems necessary, <br /> subject to the appropriation of funds therefor. It may em- <br /> ploy a clerk who shall not be a member of the Personnel <br /> r F Board. <br />
