46 <br /> Reclassification of Employees <br /> No employee may be reclassified to a job in another <br /> group, either higher or lower, until the Personnel Board <br /> shall have determined such a reclassification will be consist- <br /> ent with the provisions of the Salary Administration Plan <br /> and shall have approved the reclassification. <br /> Department Budgets <br /> Each Department Head shall include in the annual <br /> budget a pay adjustment section to provide funds for anti- <br /> cipated pay adjustments during the ensuing year, expendi- <br /> rA tures to be made only in accordance with the Salary Ad- <br /> ministration Plan at its adoption, and any others which may <br /> be included in the future. <br /> C Labor Group <br /> A regular employee shall be compensated at straight <br /> time for hours worked in excess of his established work week <br /> except for work performed in connection with snow and ice <br /> removal. For work in snow and ice removal, compensation <br /> shall be 1.5 times the employee's basic rate for time over 8 <br /> hours daily. <br /> Public Safety Group <br /> An employee occupying a position in this group is not <br /> entitled to overtime compensation except that a uniformed <br /> member of the Police Department below the rank of Chief <br /> shall receive compensation at straight time for hours worked <br /> in excess of 8 in one day or 48 in one week. <br /> Supervisory Group <br /> An employee occupying a position classified in this group <br /> is not entitled to overtime compensation. <br /> j PAID HOLIDAYS <br /> (a) The following days shall be recognized as legal boli- <br /> days within the meaning of this by-law: <br /> New Year's Day Labor Day <br /> Washington's Birthday Columbus Day <br /> Patriots Day Veterans Day <br /> Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day <br /> Independence Day Christmas Day <br /> on which days regular employees shall be excused from all <br /> day duty, except those required to maintain essential Town <br /> services who shall be given time off or compensation at the <br />"J 11 discretion of the Department Head. <br /> P <br /> a' <br />
