I i 42 the functioning of the department, and to serve the Town as it should., Of course, this decision will have to come from the citizens of Mashpee under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. We will continue to have our wildlife programs as we have in the past, and I invite any interested citizen of Mashpee, or any school, or group, to contact me if I can possibly be of any service in our mutual endeavors to promote understanding and preserva- tion of all forms of wildlife. OLIVA Wildlife Officer and Land Resource Officer Report of the Shellfish Constable To the Honorable Board of Selectmen ' and the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: I hereby submit my report for the year ending December 31, 1972. We didn't have any scallops in Popponesset Bay. We have a wonderful Oyster Bed, which was opened twice in November and I' twice in December. We will open it again in March. Oine ten quart pail of oysters and one ten quart of Quahogs was allowed to each fisherman. jFifteen violators were given warnings on shellfishing, one arrested and fined.
