47
A Rabies Clinic is scheduled for March 30, 1974 and we
are looking for a good turnout.
The restraint law goes into effect on May 15th until Sep-
tember 15th. We are hopeful the Town will realize there is
a need to have this restraint law continued year round.
All dogs that are not kept under restraint during this
period will be kenneled and dog owners will be required to
pay a $7.00 fine and $2.00 per day for board before dogs are
released. The same will apply to all unlicensed dogs. All dogs
released must show proof of license.
Dogs on the public beaches are one of the largest com-
plaints. Dog owners are urged to leave their pets at home
when going to the beaches to avoid a fine.
Again, dog owners are reminded they cannot be issued a
dog license before their dog has had a state required rabies
innoculation. Proof of a rabies shot must be taken to the
Town Clerk. Proof of a spayed female must also be shown
by law before a spayed female license can be issued.
Respectfully submitted,
DANIEL W. DUNHAM,
Dog Officer
i
i
i
I
I
I
i
