61 <br /> Annual Report of the <br /> Park and Recreation Commission <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the <br /> Citizens of the Town of Mashpee, Mass. <br /> The Park and Recreation Commission hereby submits the <br /> Annual Report for the year 1973. <br /> It gives us great pleasure to report the baseball field <br /> water system has been completed, with the exception of two <br /> fountains which will be installed this spring. We also have <br /> acquired three sets of bleachers through the efforts of the De- <br /> partment and Civil Defense Director Henry Godleski. <br /> The Commission proudly sponsored two teams in the <br /> Hyannis Kiwanis Club Basketball Tournament. Class D, <br /> coached by Larry Dove, won their class championship. Class <br /> B, coached by George F. Green Jr., went as far as the semi- <br /> finals where they met defeat. <br /> The Mashpee Women's softball team played in the Barn- <br /> stable League for the third year, finishing fourth. The team <br /> was coached by Vernon Pocknett. <br /> We would also like to report a collection of one thousand <br /> three hundred and seven dollars ($1,307.00) in parking fees <br /> for non-residents at South Cape Beach. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> i <br /> LARRY DOVE, Chairman <br /> GEORGE F.
