The life of this committee
was extended to the regular town meeting of 1975 and $200
was appropriated for its expenses at a special town meeting
held in January of 1974.
As a result of the recommendations of this committee,
several changes have been made in the form of our Town
government. At the annual town election in 1974 and at the
regular and various special town meetings, it was voted to
authorize and empower the Selectmen to appoint an execu-
tive secretary and a recreation direction. It was also voted,
among other changes, that the Selectmen appoint a super-
intend_ent of streets to replace the position of highway sur-
veyor, a previously,elected position.
Further possible recommendations are now being con-
sidered and it is contemplated that a report will be made
liprior to the regular town meetingto be held in May.
i
Respectfully submitted,
WALTER F.
