131 <br /> Report of the <br /> Municipal Sites and Building Needs Committee <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen <br /> and the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: <br /> In their Annual Report to the Town for theyear year 1973, <br /> this Committee outlined the progress which had been made <br /> In: <br /> (a) The analysis of the building needs of the Depart- <br /> ments of Highway, Police, and Fire. <br /> (b) The selection of the most suitable sites for the <br /> proposed buildings. <br /> (c) The preparation and approval of schematic plans <br /> and specifications, and <br /> (d) The selection of an architect. <br /> Throughout 1974 the Committee has continued to meet <br /> weekly and is pleased to report progress in the following <br /> areas: <br /> 1. Preparation of Architectural Plans. <br /> In cooperation with the architects (William Mead, of <br /> Nahant, Mass.) the Committee has agreed, and obtained <br /> departmental approvals of the basic design, layout, and floor <br /> area requirements for each of the three buildings currently <br /> proposed for development. The architect is now making <br /> progress in,the designs for incorporation of all the required <br /> services. (Light, heat, power, water, sewerage, telephone, <br /> etc.) <br /> 2. Ste Planning. <br /> Using the topographic charts which have. been'prepared <br /> Of the whole.area of.the selected sites..location,._(Town owned <br /> Lot No 67-1-.and 67-2, along Route 151 and Old Barnstable <br /> Road-), the Committee- has reached agreement with..the de- <br /> partments and. with the architect on the placement and <br /> i. <br /> t'sS <br />
