SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br /> JANUARY 29, 1975 <br /> Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds <br /> the sum of$1,306.00 to be transferred to the Parks & Recreation Wage- <br /> Groundskeeper Account, for employment during the months of April through <br /> June. Submitted by Parks & Recreation Commission, and the Recreational <br /> Director. Recommended by Personnel Board to the Finance Committee. <br /> Not recommended by Finance Committee because Article 9 was not <br /> recommended. <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded to postpone Article 10 indefinitely. <br /> Unanimously voted. <br /> Article 11: To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of$1,785.00 <br /> from the Parks and Recreation Baseball Field Water System Account to the <br /> Parks and Recreation Expense Account. Submitted by the Parks & Recreation <br /> Commission, and the Recreational Director. Not recommended by the Finance <br /> Committee as we were not supplied with a breakdown as to how such funds would <br /> be used. <br /> ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 11 as read. For <br /> 140, opposed 48. Motion carried. <br /> Article 12: To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available <br /> funds the sum of$1.00 to purchase one surplus building No. 1085, said <br /> building to be used for recreational facilities and to be located on Town <br /> property adjacent to the Town Hall. The removal and relocation of said <br /> building to be done by donated funds. Submitted by Park& Recreation <br /> Commission, and the Recreational Director. Recommended by Finance <br /> Committee only because it has been indicated to us that there will be no <br /> cost to the Town for removal, relocation, or renovation in regard to this <br /> building. <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded for Article 12 to be accepted as read. <br /> Motion carried. Unanimously voted. <br /> I <br /> i <br /> j Article 13: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds <br /> the sum of 715.00 for the refacing of the infield of Pocknett Field. Sub- <br /> mitted by Park& Recreation Commission, and the Recreational Director. <br /> Recommended by Finance Committee that$715.00 be transferred from the <br /> Baseball Field Water System Account to the Parks and Recreation Expense <br /> Account for the purpose of refacing the infield at Pocknett Field so that the <br /> work can be done this spring to putthe ballfield in playing condition for next <br /> season. <br /> ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 13 as read. For <br /> 176, 23 opposed. Motion carried. Unanimously voted. <br /> Article 14: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds <br /> the sum of$2,500.00 for the increased rates of street lights. Submitted <br /> by Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee that$2,000. <br /> be transferred instead of$2.,500 as it is estimated, based on previous <br /> peak month expenditures, that this amount will be sufficient. <br /> i <br /> ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to amend article to read: <br /> To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the sum of$2,000 <br /> for the increased rates of street lights. Submitted by Board of Selectmen. <br /> Recommended by Finance Committee that $2,000 be transferred instead <br /> of$2,500. as it is estimated, based on previous peak month expenditures <br /> that this amount will be sufficient.
