SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br /> JANUARY 29, 1975 <br /> "The election of officers shall be held on the Wednesday <br /> immediately preceeding the time set for the Annual Town <br /> Meeting." <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> ACTION: Motion made and seconded to postpone Article 20 indefinitely. <br /> Unanimously voted. Motion carried. <br /> I <br /> Article 21: To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Assessors <br /> to have title examinations made of parcels assessed to "Owners Unknown," <br /> and to take from available funds the sum of$5,000.00 therefore. Submit- <br /> ted by Board of Selectmen. Not recommended by Finance Committee for <br /> this special town meeting as the Assessors are preparing information rel- <br /> ative to increased revenue to the town as a result of title searches made so <br /> far and to projected costs of the remaining title searches to be made. <br /> j ACTION: Motion made and seconded to postpone Article 21 indefinitely. <br /> Unanimously voted. Motion carried. <br /> Article 22: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds <br /> the sum of$1,000.00 to establish a revolving account which will be open <br /> from year to year for the purpose of reimbursing police officers weekly who <br /> perform off-duty work detail as directed by Chapter 44, Section 53C, <br /> Massachusetts General Laws, 17 September 1973, or take any other action <br /> thereon. Submittedby Police Department. Not recommended by Finance <br /> Committee as the Article is incorrectly worded. <br /> ACTION: To amend Article 22 to read: <br /> To see if the Town will transfer from estimated receipts the sum <br /> of$1,000.00 to establish a revolving account which will be open from year <br /> to year for the purpose of reimbursing police officers weekly who perform <br /> off-duty work detail as directed by Chapter 44, Section 53C, Massachusetts <br /> General Laws, 17 September 1973. Amendment carried. Unanimously <br /> voted. <br /> Article 23: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds <br /> the sum of T5,000.00 to be used to clear the site, move, and locate a <br /> building from Otis Air Force Base to be used for a Center for Mashpee <br /> Senior Citizens, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Senior <br /> Citizen's Club. Recommended by Finance Committee provided that a <br /> breakdown be made available prior to the Special Town Meeting showing <br /> the separate costs for clearing the site, moving, locating, and providing <br /> sewerage and water facilities in regard to this building. <br /> ACTION: To amend Article 23 to read: <br /> To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the sum <br /> of$5,000.00 to be used to clear the site, move and locate a building <br /> from Otis Air Force Base to be used for a Center for Mashpee Senior <br /> Citizens, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Mashpee <br /> Council on Aging. Amendment Carried. Unanimously voted. <br /> Article 24: To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available <br /> funds the sum of$2,500.00 to the Fire Department's Wage Account. <br /> Submitted by the Fire Department. Recommended by Finance Committee <br /> P that $1,500.00 be transferred instead of$2,500. provided that, if emer- <br /> gency conditions arise, an emergency transfer would be made from the <br /> Reserve Fund. <br /> t <br /> 44 <br />
