To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br /> appropriate the sum of $100.00 for the purchase of Lot #47 to <br /> 1 be used in conjunction with Lot #46 now owned by the Town, <br /> i for Town Landing, and will authorize and instruct the Select- <br /> men to take by purchase or eminent domain in behalf of the <br /> Town, the lands or interests in the lands within the lines of <br /> said layout for this purpose, or take any other action thereon. <br /> Action: Voted Unanimous. <br /> Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to take by emin- <br /> ent domain, purchase, gift or in any other manner, for pur- <br /> poses of a public park, recreational grounds or for any other <br /> public purposes, a certain parcel of marsh and upland, with <br /> all the trees, shrubbery and structures thereon, if any, com- <br /> monly known as Gooseberry Island, containing some 2/3 <br /> acres, more or less, situated off-shore in South Mashpee, <br /> together with all rights to easement in, and use in common <br /> with others of, ;a certain well defined roadway, about 33 feet <br /> wide and leading from the main highway to the shore on <br /> mainland opposite the said Island, to appropriate any money <br /> therefore, to determine by whom it shall be spent, and how <br /> it shall be raised, or take any other action thereon. <br /> Action: Voted 37 for, 8 opposed. <br /> Article 13. To se if the Town will authorize the Select- <br /> men to take whatever action they may deem to be in the public <br /> interest in order to take or otherwise acquire certain land <br /> now or formerly owned by Kenneth A. Harvey and located in <br /> the rear of the Old Indian Church, and thereon to establish, <br /> maintain and control the operation of a Public Town Dump, <br /> or take any action thereon. <br /> Action: Voted with the amendment to strike out "in the <br /> rear of the Old Indian Church" and insert, "off Route 28 and <br /> Ashur's Path and thereon to establish, maintain, and control <br /> the operation of a Public Town Dump, and also to be used as <br /> a gravel pit." Voted Unanimous. <br /> Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the <br /> Selectmen to furnish and require the use of stickers on all <br /> cars or other motor vehicles operated by residents and non- <br />
