58 <br /> Warrant for Annual Town Meeting <br /> March 7, 1955 <br /> BARNSTABLE, SS: To either of the Constables of the Town <br /> of Mashpee, GREETING: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you <br /> are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants <br /> of the town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in elections, <br /> to meet at the Town Hall on Monday,-the seventh day of <br /> March next at seven o'clock P.M. for the following purposes; <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following warrant. To <br /> x, meet at the Town Hall the next day March eighth, 1955 to <br /> bring in their votes for the elections of officers as adopted by <br /> the Town. The polls will be open at Twelve o'clock Noon and <br /> may be closed at seven thirty p.m. <br /> Constable Ellsworth Peters delivered the Warrant to the <br /> Town Clerk at Seven o'clock p.m. <br /> The Moderator: Frank E. Hicks <br /> Tellers: Wilmont Oakley, Neota Davenport, Lucinda <br /> Hicks. <br /> The meeting was opened by a prayer led by Mrs. Martha <br /> Edwards—a moment of silent prayer for our departed officials <br /> Steven A. Peters and Frank R. Gonsalves, followed by the <br /> Lord's Prayer by the voters and spectators. <br /> A count of the number of voters was taken by the tellers- <br /> 107 registered voters being present. <br /> 1 <br />
