76 Article 61. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $100.00 for the purchase of 10'047 to be used in conjunction with lot 46 now owned by the Town for a town landing, and will authorize the Selectmen to take by purchase or eminent domain in behalf of the Town the lands or interests in the lands within the lines of said layout for this purpose or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to accept Article 61 as read. Vote: Teller's count-37 for — none opposed. Article 62. To see if the Town will vote to take by emin- ent domain, purchase, gift or in any other manner, for the purpose of a town landing, public park, recreational grounds or for any other public purpose, a certain parcel of Marsh and upland, with all the trees, shrubbery, and structures thereon, if any, commonly known as the 57 acre parcel, other- wise known as the Rosanna Jonas Lot, at or near Jehu's Cove in the southerly part of Mashpee, bounded by a certain three acre parcel now owned by the town, together with a right of way to and from the town way, to appropriate the sum of #y $300.00 therefore to determine how it shall be raised or take any other action thereon. Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to accept article 62 amended to read "Jehu's Pond" instead of "Jehu's Cove" and that the appropriation be trans- ferred from unappropriated funds. The appropriation being $300.00. Vote: Teller's count-56 for — 3 opposed. i i Article 63. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to employ a Town Counsel for general purposes jand to appropriate from the available funds in the Town Treasury the sum of $2,000.00 as a retainer, to be drawn upon from time to time as legal work is duly performed for town officials or otherwise in connection with the town business or take any other action thereon. No action.
