This Amendment will formally codify the transition of any such authority from the Subdivision <br /> Board of Appeals to the Zoning Board of Appeals. <br /> The Board of Selectmen and the Finance Committee recommend approval. <br /> Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on April 20, 2005 5-0 to make no <br /> recommendation. <br /> Motion made by Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion: I move that Article 15 be indefinitely postponed. <br /> Motion to indefinitely postponed passes at 9:36 p.m. <br /> Article 16 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Zoning Bylaws §174-91 to read as follows: <br /> §174-91. Establishment-, appointment-, terms. There shall be a Zoning Board of Appeals as <br /> provided by the Massachusetts General Laws, consisting of five (5) members. The <br /> Board of Selectmen shall appoint the members annually to terms commencing July 1. <br /> The members shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years, so arranged that the term <br /> of office of as nearly an equal number of members as is possible shall expire each year. <br /> The Board of Selectmen may appoint up to six (6) associate members, for similar to <br /> in the same manner. Vacancies shall. be filled for unexpired terms in the same manner <br /> as in case of original appointments, <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> Explanation-, At the October 2003 Annual Town Meeting, a motion was made to increase the <br /> term to expire from three years to five years. Historically, terms greater than three years has <br /> proven to be difficult. Therefore, the Zoning Board of Appeals respectfully requests the voters <br /> to vote to amend this zoning bylaw back to its original term of office. <br /> The Board of Selectmen and the Finance Committee recommend approval. <br /> Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on April 20, 2005 5-0 to recommend <br /> approval. <br /> Motion to be made by Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion.- I move Article 16 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the phrase, <br /> "or take any other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 937 p.m. <br /> 51 <br />
