Submission of Reprised Road Design <br /> Commercial Street <br /> The Chairman recognized Don legath-lin, who introduced <br /> Charles Talanian, President of Talanian Realty; Matthew <br /> Eddy, Civil Engineer, of Baxter, Nye, and Holmgren; and Ed <br /> Hobbie, Kay Construction. <br /> Mr. Megathlin reminded the Roard that no action was <br /> taken at the last Meeting regarding modifications to <br /> Commercial Street and Industrial Drive because the <br /> Consulting Engineer had not yet prepared comments . Since <br /> then said comments have been receiI ved and a detailed memo <br /> of response has been submitt d to Mr. Rowley as well as the <br /> Town Planner. <br /> Mr. Rowley asked four the cost difference between the <br /> original and current plans. Mr. Megathlin indicated the <br /> difference was significant, approximately $ . , o . o . <br /> Relocation of the Utilities would cost approximately <br /> .0, 0 . o . To construct the proposed plan would cost <br /> approximately $2 , o o . o. <br /> Applicant has proposed realigning the road slightly to <br /> the west, approximately 12-feet, install a traffic island, <br /> and provide a left-hand turn going through Commercial, <br /> Street to Industrial Drive. <br /> The Town Planner had suggested Applicant coordinate <br /> this proposal with Mashpee Industrial Park, which they have <br /> done. Mr. MacGregor, partner, Mashpee Industrial Parr is <br /> in total agreement with the proposed plan and has stated he. <br /> is willing to provide his support in writing (which has not <br /> yet been received) . <br /> This is the proposal Applicant is presenting to the <br /> Board this evening; Mr. Megathlin stated they are <br /> %%e.xtremely anxious.. to 'begin construction. <br /> The Town Planner had also requested Applicant to <br /> consider a plan whereby the --Star tran-sformer would be <br /> relocated, and leave the Verizon transformer as is . <br /> Applicant has concerns with this suggestion and has decided <br /> to not make this recommendation to the Board.
