Lane. Respectfully, Dennis Dal arini and Myrna Nuey,
%Planning Board. "
The Chairman stated that at the previous Planning
Board Meeting (June 1 , o Board Members had expressed
strong concerns regarding the preservation of trees, damage
to the property -and to some of the trees as a direct result
of construction. The Developer is fully aware of the
Board' s stand on protecting trees . It has been stressed
from the beginning that the tree is-sue is important and
would be reviewed as extremely important to the Board. Any
tree that has been damaged is to be replaced by a new
planting and that all trees on the- site be protected from
construction/equipment in order to prevent damage to
healthy trees. It has become evident that proper steps to
protect said trees have not been taken.
t this point the Chairman recognized Mr. Bonvie and
invited him to comment on the matter.
Mr. Bonvie said he would be happy to respond. He
i-ntroduced Ellis Allen, Arborist, Jay Sorello,
Road/Excavation, and Craig Whitten, Landscaper.
Mr. Bonvie stated the tree inspection issue had been
instigated by a -siite inspection by the Consulting Engineer
for th'e "Iowa, Charles Rowley. Mr. Rowley reported there
were several trees at the PGA Lane location that should be
removed clue to the pro ,imity to buildings, driveways, and
their condition. When the Town Planner was made aware of
this situation he suggested the Develop r provide a plan
(and pictures.) showing in detail those- trees in question
for Staff/Board review.
site inspection wa-s then conducted with Mr. Fudala,
Mr. Bonvie and his Excavator, ator, as well as some members of
the Landscape Committee. Mr. Bonvie did state that he was
not actually present for the entire site review. Notice
was made of many conditions on site and suggestions for
improvements were duly noted and agreed upon at that time
by everyone involved.
The Town Planner interjected at this point informing
the Board that the Consulting Engineer was also present at
this site walk being referred to by the Deve-loper. He then
informed the Developer that at the previous Planning Board
Meeting the Board reviewed and voted those recommendations
9.
