Mr. Moore clarified that the Consulting Engineer has
suggested that when the plpe- is located and exposed, it be
relocated if necessary when the foundation work is in progress.
Mr. Besse, making reference to the water and Sewer Plan, is
of the opinion that the current location of the sewer will
definitely have to be moved as it is located underneath the
building, and that it was exposed at the time a trench was put
in. He informed the Board that he has photographs vetifying
such (however, he did not present them at this time) .
r. Besse made reference to the location of his property,
stating his concern is for the location of the sewer pipe to the
proximity of the wooded area, which will necessitate the removal
of additional trees.
Mr. Besse suggested Applicant seriously reconsider the
location Of the pipe, and relocation of the building.
The Chairman asked if the exact location of the sewer lime
is known; to which Mr. Moore responded, "We dory1.t know exactly
where it is in relation to the house' . He stated it is being
proposed to relocate it around the foundation, there is
sufficient space, and that the pipe is a six inch PVC pipe
located in the ground. Mr. Moore further stated the trees
located behind Mr. Besse' s property would be conserved.
r. Besse asked if Applicant would be required to go between
any of the trees, possibly causing damage to the trees. He
acknowledged Applicant has just cotpleted a re-landscaping
project behind his property and that he is very pleased with the
results; he would not want to see the property disturbed again.
The Town Planner suggested relocating to the other side of
the building. 'Where was some discussion/speculation.
Due to the fact the exact location is not known, Mr. Moore
.hesitated to comment. Although he did state that he would be in
favor of -taking the easiest route and that of the least distance.
The Chairman determined the pipe is to be located and
staked, at which point Applicant is required to appear before the
Board for further discussion.
Mr. Moore agreed to respond to the seven points raised
in this 'natter in writing to the Planning Board with a copy to
the Consulting Engineer.
The Chairman recognized John O'Connor, Board of Trustees
Member, Stratford Ponds, who expressed a thank-you to the Board
for addressing these issues of concern.
Approval of minutes
-4-
