a
The vice Chairman recognized Susan Goodwin, who stated there
is a water main owned by the Town n r dwich that runs along her
property line; she asked the Planning Board to take this fact
into consideration, as well as for those residents who live on
her side of the road and need to access/maintain the road on
Year-round basis.
The vice Chain suggested the issue of access be
addressed. The Town Planner suggested Jonathan Fitch be
contacted to appear before the Board, representing the Builder,
in an attempt to determne/resolve access issues.
The Consulting Engineer reported here is some erosion to
the existing road; and there are unfinished details on the
proposed road. He stated he has spoken with Attorney Fitch who
mentioned the delay due to Cori Electric and the. Te l ep hone Comp any
regarding the relocation of poles. Upbn inspection, he noted new
poles have been inserted. Gallo Construction remains involved in
the project and expects to commence the remaining construction
(within the next 2-4 weeks) ; at which time a the entrance area will
be cleaned-up as well as that portion of the road beyond the
proposed cul-de-sac. The erosion issue should be addressed as
the road is- utilized as access and mast be maintained.
The Consulting Engineer suggested the abutters and the
Builder meet in order to possibly convey easements of rights
within the road. However, this is not to be considered a
Planning Board ratter, as all construction has taken place on the
Builder' s side of the road. There should not have been any
obstruction to the old road, the intent was to be parallel the
old road and be adjacent to it .
The Town Planner mentioned and the Consulting Engineer
agreed to review the situation where the two roads intersect
at Pimlico Pond Road.
There was some discussion regarding the present condition of
the old road, with Mrs . Goodwin stating that as a result of the
new development the old Cove Road is in "terrible" condition.
She stated she feels it would be unfair to expect the current
owners to build another road at their own expense.
The Consulting Engineer reported the shoulder work has to be
completed; and loam and seed is required for all shoulders. He
explained it was never the intent to push the shoulder to the
center of the road and force the existing owners to build their
own road, it is to be contained outside the limits of the
existing constrruction. In the event the erosion has been caused
by the disturbance of the shoulders, it would have to be
rectified and properly addressed in order to prevent further
erosion of the slopes.
The Board determined that Attorney Pitch should be notified
