1 The Chairman declared a five minute recess at this point (8 : 56 p.m..) The Meeting was reconvened at : 02 p.m. Public Hearing Four Zoning Articles - May 5 t-h Annual Town Meeting The Chairman opened the Public Hearing- in this natter. Pursuant to Mass, General Laws Ch. 4OA the Mashpee Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 23, '2003 at : 00 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North to review the following Zoning Articles for action at the May 5, 2003 Special_ Town Meeting, 1. An Article submitted by t-he Boa-rd of Selectmen amending Section 174- 1 by increasing allowed building height in the C1 Commercial District and for hotels and motels in the IC Overlay District from two stories, 35-feet to three stories, 45-feet. 2 . An Particle submitted by the Board of Selectmen amending Section 1 4-24H1 to allow motels and hotels in the I Overlay Di. trict.. - _ - - - - -- - -- - - - 3. din Article submitted by the Board of Selectmen amending Section 1 -31 by maintaining- a 150-foot front setback requirement from Routes 128 and 151 in the Il Industrial District, and reducing to 75-feet from all other public and private streets. 4 . An Art-icle submitted by Petition which would reduce the maximum height of free standing signs in Industrial Districts from 15-feet to -feet, and increase the height in Commercial Districts from 15-fe'et to 25-feet, require. such signs in Industrial Districts to be located closer than -feet to a lot lime require such signs in Commercial Districts to be no closer than 12-feet to a lot lime . Increase the number of signs allowed in Conunercial Districts from one for a lot to one for each road access point and remove the requirement that such signs not "]aloe a lime of sight for pedestrian and traffic safety if so determined by the DPW Director"' .
