changes a full public hearing process, that is certified
rail notice to all Southport residents and abutters within
Soo-ft . may not be necessary and might be replaced with a
regular Board tweeting with notice sent only to residents
within o -ft . , for example, of the actual portion of the
site plan to be modified.
Hoard Comment
Steve Dolan asked if a bond has been pasted for those
improvements being. made to Barnstable Road.
The Town Planner responded, "No, there is no mend
posted for it". He expressed uncertainty as to the
timetable, as the roadway is yet to be designed, Board o
Selectmen approval, and possible Town Meeting action.
Public Comment
The Chairman recognized the fallowing members of the
Public for their comment:
Linda Fletcher - Dade reference to the left-hand
- t rning lane- s-tating. Mr. -Bore-ie- -ha-s, -made- a- verbal -
commitm nt to post bonds.
Lynn Brlawn - Made reference to Conditions #16 and #.1,
left-hand turning lane would be part of the plan for the
road widening, which is the plan Mr. Bonvie agreed to brine
to the Planning Board. It is her understanding that this
process would begin as soon as possible and that a bond
would be posted.
The Town Planner interjected a design would have to be
presented/approved before a bond could be posted in order
to determine the cost. Until such time as both Boards have
approved revised site plans, the recommendation is that no
building permits be issued with or without the road plans,
with the exception of those purchase and sale agreements
that have been approved.
Linda Fletcher - Made reference to Section 1, stating
everyone at Southport wants people who are waiting to get
in. She also made reference to the retaining wall, asking
whether or not it is considered to be safe, so that in the
future when they are responsible, there will not be a need
for repairs.
1
