that have since been combined into one lot due t changes
in zoning. •
T.he- last time the Applicant appeared before the Board
perc test results were submitted. There wa-s some question
as to where the water was generated.
Attorney Lasordo stated there is a ditch from the bog
where water is trenched through the Applicant' s property
and runs down to a larder bog that is under 3 -ft.
elevation, being much lower than the lots. The upper lot
is at approximately -ft . elevation. The lower lot is at
4 -ft . elevation. The perc tests conducted in 2005
indicated there was - t. to ground water at the upper lot,
and 6 to . -ft to groundwater at the lower lot.
References were them made to handout information
provided by the Applicant with reference to water tables
for MashpeeWakeby Ponds, as well as precipitation
observations. References were also made to observation
well logs, which indicate that the water level in the
observation pit rises and falls with the lake.
Attorney Lasordo argued that the issue is the level of
the lake, not the level of the groundwater. Historically,
the high point of the lake is May 11th every year.
Attorney Lasordo then made reference to mottle
studies, being the last -pages of the handout, which
indicates the historic high water in the area. References
were then made to the location and results of the perc test
pits/observation- pits.
Thomas O' Hara asked for the proposed location of the
dwelling.
Mr. Pagani indicated t-he location, at approximately
-ft . elevation, with a full basement. The street
elevation being o-ft . He also indicated the proposed
location of the septic, at --f t. elevation.
There was discussion regarding the level of the
basement which Would be at 2-ft. with the water level at
4 4-ft. There was some question as to whether this would be
a conservation wetland issue.
1
