Applicant responded there would be no problems due to
the elevations at -ft . and the property across the street
at 4 -ft .
Mr. Taylor interjected that contour work would be
necessary in order to prevent flooding in the roadway, and
that considerations would be given to the ditch area
located on Town owned property.
The Town Planner noted that the request for release of
lots #80 and #81 were denied as to November 1989. However,
there is a signed covenant release dated May 1986. He
requested additional time for the Planning Department to
review this extens-ive file. He also ha-s some question as to
the second page attachment document.
It was the general consensus of the Planning Board to
continue this matter to August 1.5th in order to provide the
Planning Staff appropriate time to research this ratter
more thoroughly.. The Board further authorized Mr. Rowley
to wal i spect the condition of the property.
Gail S. Lopes
The Chairman recognized Gail S. Lopes from the
audience who returned to the Planning Board Meeting having
left after the conclusion of the earlier Public Hearing.
Ms . Lopes informed the Board that she, and her husband
were not present at the site when the Fire Department
conducted their emergency drill. She suggested t-he
Planning Board Members visit the site, for which she would
be willing to reimburse them for their time and effort, as
well as to ]nine an engineer to either enlarge the driveway,
r reduce the size of the cl-rcle . She suggested that the
emergency fire vehicles could back up into the front half
of the circle eliminating the need to go around the entire
circle.
The chairman determi ed that Planning Board Members
perform their duties on a strictly volunteer basis and -are
unable to accept payment of any kind.
Tyr. Rowley stated that it would be inappropriate for
him to accept work by the Applicant, as suggested by Ms.
Lopes. He suggested that any observations with respect to
the fire department apparatus be done under comment
1
