T
The chairman requested the Assistant Town Planner to
obtain this determination i-n writing for the record in this
ratter.
Dennis Balarini asked for clarification regarding a
possible future request to construct a condominium on the
site of said open space area .
T-he: Assistant Town Planner explained the special
Permit would be enforceable, as the master deed i
referenced within the special Permit .
The cha-irman then asked for the- letter submitted at
the last Meeting by the abutters t the property, which was
provided by the Board secretary.
The cha-irman then addressed those issues of concern
addressed at the previous Meeting, being Board request for
the exclusive use of organic fertilizers on this project .
She asked that the Applicant agree to make this change
within the Special Permit.
Another concern is for the effects of phosphorus
loading. She made reference to item 12-B of the existing
Special Permit that requires a labeling system for kitchens
and bathrooms within the units regarding the importance of
not disposing any. hazardous materials down drains. She
requested that in addition to this warning an indication of
the importance for the use of non-phosphorus loading dish
detergents be included for environmental protection
reasons .
The Chairman then read directly from the Special
Permit 12-B, ""No household hazardous waste shad be
introduced into the wastewater treatment system. To
encourage compliance with this condition the Applicant
shall devise a labeling system for the kitchen and bathroom
areas that (l) informs the residents of the condominium
units of the .-adverse impact that hazardous materials will
have on the condomi-nium' s water supply and sewage treatment
facility, and (2) expressly prohibits the residents from
using their kitchen and bathroom facilities for the
disposal of hazardous waste, and ( identifies typical
household products that contain hazardous materials.
