Mr. Govoni stated this issue is "treading on murky watern <br />and whereas the Zoning Board is taking a "hit" on this Article, <br />that both the Planning Board and Zoning Board work together on <br />this matter. Be further stated that all Members of the Zoning <br />Board are well educated and dedicated. <br />In conclusion, Mr. Govoni urged the Planning Board to take <br />no action in this matter until such time as the Review Board has <br />an opportunity to discuss the matter, all as outlined within the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />Robert Nelson, Zoning Board of Appeals, 27 Tradewind Drivel <br />ashpee, MA - stated his primary objections to the proposed <br />i <br />Article s lts connection to every major roadway within the Town <br />f Mashpee. Things are being taken away and balanced out which <br />are not night. Be made reference to the Health Club on Route <br />130, Dunkin Donuts, Cook e s , #Restaurant, Jiffy Lubeffl Honey Dew, <br />Auguat Building -World Gym and Daddario, reactivated Mobil <br />Station, Johnny's Gas Station, Rockland Trust Bank, Puneral Bore, <br />Cormier ' s Repair, and the Shopping Center on Rowe 151, all <br />projects which the Zoning Board of Appeals approved. Be defied <br />anyone to deny that all of these projects have proven to be for <br />the good of the Town of Mashpee . <br />In conclusion, Mr. Nelson stated that if the proposed <br />Article passes, "we are not going to be around to t-ake care of <br />things". <br />Marshall Brum, Associate Member, Zoning Board of Appeals - <br />concurred with the two previous speakers Mr. Govoni and Mr. <br />Nelson. He made reference to the proposed Article itself noting <br />its complexity, to housekeeping items at the beginning, further <br />stating the Article had not been properly written. He stated <br />this Article should be presented the right way; ghat is being <br />presented is the wrong way. <br />Mr. Brum concurred that the Planning Board, Zoning Board of <br />Appeals, and any other Board within the Town should meet in order <br />to write an Article that would reflect the best interest for the <br />entire Town of Mashpee. <br />In conclusion, Mr. Brum. stated he has been a Member of the <br />Zoning Board of Appeals for two gears as a volunteer, the Members <br />spend hours working for the Town. He was distressed by the <br />manner in -which the proposed Article had been written, <br />diminishing power of the Board of Appeals, stating his opinion <br />the matter is "ludicrous". <br />The Chairman then asked if there were anyone in favor of the <br />Article being proposed who would like to speak. <br />Judge Lawrence Shubow -- who stated he feels the Zoning Board <br />of Appeals is making a grave mistake to involve themselves in the <br />_ 11 _ <br />
