Ms. Paxton { I'� <br /> concluded by thanking the Town Planner, Planning Board, and sr <br /> Assistant Town Planner, Eric Smith, for following through on this <br /> important issue for Mash e e and by acknowledging Eric Smith' s <br /> hard work and fairness on this unpopular issue. �1 <br /> The Chairman recognized the Assistant Town Planner, Eric <br /> Smith, who provided copies of "Options in Regulating Adult <br /> Entertainment/Uses" which included Alternative, Description, � <br /> Pros, and cons : 1) Business as usual; 2} Overlay zone; and 3) <br /> Place Restrictions within Allowed Areas . <br /> p <br /> Eric explained the third approach as one that some of the <br /> other Towns are adopting which is placing restrictions within , <br /> allowed areas (commercial areas where any of the uses could go {� <br /> today) . Distance requirements could be adopted for each adult <br /> use, whereby a zone is not created, regulations would be in ' <br /> place, and may be the only acceptable solution. He did point out <br /> however, that uses could be placed within the high traffic areas. ' <br /> �I <br /> The Town Planner suggested imposing set backs from <br /> residential zoning districts, as opposed to an actual residence. <br /> k He indicated the 3rd alternative would be the most defensible <br /> legally.
