• 1, <br /> Mr. Kuchinski entertained a motion, be made in this regard. <br /> MOTION: Chance Reichel made a Motion to continue the Public A <br /> Hearing in the matter of John Druley, Quaker Homes, Great Oak �; � ; <br /> Road, Approval of 3-Lot Definitive Subdivision Plan, to June 3, <br /> 1998 at 7: 00 p.m. ; which Motion was seconded by James Dorgan and 01 <br /> so voted unanimously. <br /> Discussion-Don Megathlin and Charles Talanian <br /> Proposed Commercial Complex <br /> •' r <br /> _F <br /> The Town Planner informed the Board that this matter is to <br /> be considered informational as Applicant has filed with the Cape , <br /> Cod Commission and the Planning Board cannot formally act on <br /> anything this evening. <br /> Mr. Kuchinski recognized Mr. Megathlin, who informed the <br /> Board this matter is a project in process. He explained that he • <br /> wanted the opportunity Pp y to appear before the Planning Board in <br /> order to update the Board and to solicit Board input. <br /> Mr. Megathlin stated a formal filing in this matter would <br /> not be done until early fall-September. At this point, Mr. <br /> Megathlin provided Board Members with copies of an Agenda " <br /> entitled, "Informational Meeting with Mashpee Planning Board and <br /> C. Talanian Realty, dated 5/20/98. 0 <br /> Mr. Megathlin reported the following reports have been <br /> completed: vegetation, Wildlife, Archeological, Open Space, <br /> Economic Development, Job Creation, Historic, Air Quality, and �i <br /> Transportation. The documents presently underway: <br /> Architectural, Landscaping, water Resources, Solid waste, Mani + <br /> Golf, and Construction Impacts. Fiscal I *" •p Impacts have not yet been <br /> started. Meetings have been held with the following: Four <br /> Neighborhood Associations, DEP, MHD, CCC, Regional Transit <br /> Authority, Municipal Agencies (including the Town Planner) . r it <br /> Economic Development: Mr. Megathlin stated all findings <br /> indicate a strong potential for growth and retail demand/sales. <br /> Mr. Megathlin stated he is proposing an Outlet/Off Price Center. •'"` <br /> The name being considered is "Southcape" . A total of Six Hundred <br /> and Five (605) Jobs are expected to be created at total build out a; <br /> (to include construction, and full time retail) . The Town Planner <br /> suggested the "Southcape" name be studied further for possible <br /> conflicts, Chance Reichel suggested the "Southcape" name be <br /> submitted to Mashpee Police and Fire Departments for their <br /> feedback. w 3 <br /> Site Development Plan: Mr. Megathlin made reference to the <br /> Plans indicating the Dick & Ellie Flea Market site, Donnas Lane, <br /> Route 28, Com Electric Easement, Lynch Insurance, Liquor <br /> Warehouse and Great Neck Road.
