>ti
: r Tony does not see a problem with that .
a Brian Hyde said he does have a problem with that.
lTony explained the Planning Board is trying to give a person
reasonable utilization of their land . The intensity of use is
not that dramatic . The Board sees pluses for the situation .
Waiving road standards is something they have done in the past.
Should the Board put a note on the drawing stating road
construction standards have been waived by the Planning Board'?
Tom said the whole reason there are subdivision standards is to
protect buyers . This is the first time the Board has waived a
I turn around on a road .
i
Tony asked Greg what he thought about a "T" turnaround?
Brian said it is not his business .
+ Greg wants a note on the drawing saying the waivers mean there
will be no winter maintenance .
Pat said he is comfortable putting a note on the plan but not
1' interpreting a bylaw which may change in the future . Anctl =r DPW
Director may change the plowing policy .
Pat asked where the Board stood with the Fire Dept on cul de sac
or residential sprinkler requirements?
Tony explained originally Chief Baker said he would have nc
problem with the plan if there were residential sprinklers
required in the 2 new homes . Since then he has learned how
difficult the residential sprinkler issue is and has backed off
on his position . There is nothing in writing from him that he
has backed off.
Brian Hyde said he does not think the note should be on the plan .
13 ° This is a personal issue between Mr . Taylor and Brian . This
would not be required of other people .
Tom said other people have not built a road like this .
Tony said Greg has made it clear he will not maintain this road .
However , in 90 days you may be told ( by Board of Selectmen ) that
you have to plow it, things change . The Board has to think of the
right mechanism for that message. He suggested the note read :
the road may not be maintained by the Town of Mashpee" .
Pat said he appreciates the DPW' s input and Greg ' s time coming to
the meeting to give the Board his input. If the note is put on
the plan , the homeowners will never see it, it is a note for the
attorney to research and pass the information onto the
homeowners.
Note : Road may or may not be maintained by the Town of Mashpee .
Pat does not like it . The Board cannot change the policy to may
or may not.
4
1
