16 Great Neck Road North
Mashyee, Massachusetts 02649
vetted the platforms contract terms, site functions, aesthetics, and costs. They were narrowed down to
CitizenLab and coUrbanize. They are both wonderful and offer similar packages. CitizenLab was
chosen primarily due to difference in cost. It has better customization and the base package allows for
flexibility to build out the site while it stays active, and it will easily carry over into implementation. The
site could continue to gain data as the plan is implemented. This is something he will consider in the
future budget, it would be nice to have this site live on and be referenced five years down the road. One
other benefit is the quick turnaround to launch the site by the first of the month as planned.
Ms. Waygan went on the CitizenLab website and she thought it fits this project well, it's a citizen based
approach. It has a strong planning emphasis and she thinks it's a good choice.
Mr. Fulone asked which pricing option he is recommending.
Mr. Lehrer is going to opt for the low pricing option. He doesn't want to eat up the cushion budget. This
platform provides flexibility with the ability to add tools that may be needed later.
Chairman asked if there was consideration for more than one year, are there flexible contract terms?
Mr. Lehrer stated flexible contract terms could be 18-24 months. He wants to get a consensus before
he reached out to define contract terms. If this is okay for the Board, he will ensure this program gets us
through well within the budget.
Mr. Fulone inquired about the option to keep it going afterwards at a discounted rate.
Mr. Lehrer will approach that in the next fiscal year for Town Meeting.
As Mr. Lehrer just wanted the Boards blessing, everyone was in agreement this platform will be a great
option.
Ms. Waygan showed a document from the packet. She asked if this was what the town wrote, the
Mashpee, Ma Community Engagement Plan.
Mr. Lehrer commented that was built off of the conceptual document attached to the RFP. It was not
exactly what they had written, it was written by Weston & Sampson and modeled after the concept that
was designed.
Ms. Waygan stated the words in the chart don't match the words in the documents. She is curious if
they are going to use the words as is or use the words from the engagement plan. When she read
"Public Threat" she was not sure what that meant, but now she knows it would be a public workshop.
Ms. Waygan also noted under February, it should say site visit. She inquired if they would do that
together. Lastly, she asked about the updated stakeholders list.
