Roll Call Vote: Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE Consideration of Establishment of a New Open mace Committee: PlanningBoard: Correspondence was received from the Planning Board dated March 2, 2022 requesting the Select Board consider the merits of establishing a new Open Space Committee, and seek a recommendation from the Town Manager regarding the committee's composition and its mission. The matter was taken under advisement, and would be placed on a future agenda for review. OLD BUSINESS Review and Approval of Comcast License Renewal: The Select Board reviewed the Agreement between the Town of Mashpee and Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC for the grant of the cable television license(s) pursuant to M.G.L. c.166A. It was noted (2) Select Board members and the Town Manager were tasked to review this process. Significant changes to the prior contract are as follows; The PEG annual capital payments will increase to $65,000 for 10 years ($650,000), an increase from the previous contract of $44,758.30 for 10 years; $447,583. The PEG franchise fee has been increased from 4.5% to 5% of gross annual revenues. Comcast will maintain a full-time customer service office in a town reasonably convenient to Mashpee with locations in Hyannis and Falmouth.
