roawruru«w
 m
Zown=qf,,,1lasi gee Pra #W. Board
16 Great Neck RoadWorth
Mashpee, Nassachusetts 02649
Ms. Sweet is going to look into the contact list, she has not checked on it in a while. She will also check
on that and make sure they are added.
Ms. Waygan thinks they are starting to get a big contact list. The town has a news email list, the Town
Clerk can put you on a contact list. The Recreation Department has an email list. There are many email
lists, when this survey is ready to go with a link to take it online, they can send emails.
Mr. Balzarini noted there are four topics that people care most about: open space, housing, traffic and
employment, everyone seems to be in agreement with these items.
Ms. Faulkner employment is limited, from everything she has read, to workforce housing. That's what
we need to take care of here, here in this survey of new people coming, when they answer what's
important, affordable housing options was only 6%. Strong economic opportunities represented only
9% that said it was extremely important. These are retired people or working from home.
Ms. Waygan stated they clearly had the money to come, they weren't living here. She asked where the
data results from the survey live.
Mr. Lehrer commented they are spread out across chapters, such as economic developing and
housing. Those are the two primary chapters from the LCP.
Ms. Waygan encouraged the Board to study the survey and pick their favorite questions and areas. The
old survey was one page double sided, she only has the results.
Mr. Lehrer stated there is a recent iteration of a survey it is multiple sheets. That was used as reference
materials.
Ms. Waygan stated it was almost launched then COVID happened.
Built Systems workshop draft materials
Ms. Waygan thinks they look good. Her only comment was there the systems workshop second of
three, you want three of three, and it is done. Cross out natural because that is done. She asked about
the map, vertical orientation, she only recognizes it a certain way. It's only a formatting issue to be able
to fit on the page.
Ongoing Engagement Efforts — Race Amity Day, Community Picnic, Save Mashpee Wakeby
Pond Alliance, Mashpee Wampanoag Powwow, Southport
Mr. Lehrer has seen many Board members at these various community events. He went to Race Amity
Day the day after the Natural Systems workshop. They were at the community picnic and fireworks.
They were invited to the Save Mashpee Wakeby Pond Alliance Annual meeting and spent an hour.
Friday powwow and an upcoming event to be further defined at Southport. It has been a nice
opportunity to have more of an organic informal discussion of people's priorities and broad spectrum
11
