They have been regurgitating material from the vision workshop talking about strengths, <br />weaknesses, opportunities and concerns of the town. They have been providing a headlining exercise <br />and asking people to think about what they hope to see as the headline of the Mashpee Enterprise in <br />10 years. Some people put Mashpee is a Leader in Community Resilience or Mashpee Opens New <br />Community Center. It has been fun. One thing he forgot to note, they also went to an Ice cream social <br />at the Senior Center. People were interested in speaking at that event. They also had an exercise for <br />kids to draw their favorite place in Mashpee like beaches, Johns Pond, the splash pad, mini golf course, <br />someone even drew a picture of Town Hall. They are planning to be present at the Summer Concert <br />Series. Mr. Beltran was also provided with events at the Commons for family movie nights. They are <br />considering stationing a table at Stop and Shop, CVS, or the Post Office, as most people entering <br />would have a Mashpee address. <br />Ms. Waygan commented to ask the Manager at the Mashpee Stop and Shop. They will have to check <br />in with the Post Master for the Post Office. She noted this Sunday, July loth is the Wampanoag general <br />membership meeting at the Government Center. They will be there for 1:OOp.m., prior to the start of the <br />meeting and Wamp Wheels will provide food. Their general membership meeting starts at 2:OOp.m. <br />Mr. Lehrer stated he and Mr. Beltran went to Stop and Shop to speak with the Manager but he was on <br />vacation. The Tribal Chairman called Mr. Lehrer today to say they are being added to the agenda. <br />Tribal members are not showing up early they are getting there right for 2:OOp.m. They were hoping for <br />a question and answer session. <br />Ms. Waygan has a list of community events, focus groups, the Tribe, business community, the <br />Chamber, which also includes Mashpee businesses that are not a part of the Chamber. She is hopeful <br />that Mr. Lehrer will work on that list. She stated Mr. Hansen is involved with Southport. She will also <br />spend time figuring out how to reach parents of school age children. <br />Mr. Lehrer and the Superintendent discussed a potential school event the first week of school. The <br />youth engagement tool kit took away some focus but we can get back. <br />Mr. Balzarini noted that is a good way to get the parents involved. <br />Ms. Waygan reminded everyone that Mr. Lehrer is on vacation the second week of school. Hopefully <br />the survey will be out by then. <br />Virtual Workshops <br />Mr. Lehrer stated Weston & Sampson will help facilitate the virtual format. The additional virtual <br />workshop will be for the parents of school age children. He asked if the Board was still interested in <br />pursuing these. <br />Ms. Faulkner asked what the virtual workshop would be and how that would be announced to people. <br />12 <br />
