wwwaip,
16 Great Neck Road North.
Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649
Mr. Lehrer noted The Enterprise, word of mouth, social media such as The Mashpee Message,
Mashpee TV through a PSA, and email blasts from ww!C),Ianmash0ee.ca .
Ms. Waygan would like to focus on these community and committee support groups. The list of
religious organizations, public health groups, Veterans groups, the Republican and Democrat town
committees, which she wanted to be virtual. She would like to make sure they are all aware.
Mr. Lehrer clarified she wanted to invite these groups to the general workshop.
Ms. Waygan stated if they will do two digital workshops those groups should be targeted and really
push it out to them. Have there been any dates set? They need at least three weeks.
Mr. Lehrer asked about August, general population workshop for mid -August then first couple weeks of
September for parents of school age children.
Ms. Waygan does not want to push it out too much further because that means the survey will be
launched later.
Mr. Balzarini inquired about New Seabury and asked if any progress was made on that with the
summer population.
Ms. Waygan noted they are under homeowner associations. They have virtual for residential
homeowner associations. She would like to add them to the list. There is just so many.
Mr. Lehrer reiterated everyone is invited to participate. We want to go to as many people as practical
and we can manage within our capacity. He does want to be cognizant on how much we do and can
accommodate while consolidating as much as possible. The reality is we cannot individualize every
population group. The goal is to capture as many as we can with our time and resources.
Ms. Faulkner stated they could notify presidents of HOA's, to which Mr. Lehrer responded they have
already been doing that.
Ms. Waygan called for Public Comment and she recognized Lynne Barbee.
Lynne Barbee- Something important for her to note, when speaking with the Veterans, most of them
don't have computers. A virtual workshop won't work. The Major informed her they would need to meet
in person to target that group. She knows of people through the Senior Center who do not have
computers. They should have another general workshop at the Public Library or Senior Center for that
group. There are groups two Friday afternoons a month at the Senior Center. In August we could go to
their meeting and maybe they could also invite other people. A very informal session out in the
community will generate good feedback.
13
