16 Great Neck Road North
.94ashpee, Massachusetts 02649
Review of revised stormwater management zoning bylaw amendment proposals as
requested by the Select Board at their meeting of August 22, 2022 and related public
service announcement and presentation to the Select Board on September 22, 2022
Ms. Waygan stated the Select Board already has the proposed floodplain bylaw amendment
but she wants to give them the text of the PSA given by Mr. Lehrer along with some FAQs.
The FAQs say how many lots are impacted and answers questions about what makes lots
unbuildable or what will happen to someone's existing property.
Mr. Balzarini and Mr. Fulone will try to attend the meeting.
Ms. Waygan inquired if they will have to announce they will be at the Select Board meeting in
quorum. Mr. Lehrer will find out and report back. She also noted there is presentation at the
Poppy Beach Association meeting on September 10, 2022 at 10:00a.m. that will act as a trial
run. Ms. Faulkner will be in attendance. The Planning Board may be in quorum at that meeting
and she will reiterate the only reason they are there is to present, not to deal with any other
business. They will show the PSA and a Power Point with the FAQs and a map of the area.
Any questions that cannot be answered will be brought back.
Ms. Faulkner said David Morris the Mashpee Building Commissioner will be at the presentation
in Popponesset.
Mr. Balzarini asked if anyone was invited to this or just the neighbors of PBA and will just be
the PBA.
Ms. Waygan noted if it gets on the Warrant they can prepare something to be discussed for the
town. They can show the PSA and the FAQs at the Public Hearing.
OLD BUSINESS
Local Comprehensive Plan Updates with Weston & Sampson
Survey Beta Test
Mr. Lehrer was informed today that the survey will be available for the Board on Friday. He
went through the survey once and there were a number of typos and various edits that needed
to be corrected. Given his familiarity, it took him about twenty minutes, but it will take others
more time. There are also some minor formatting issues that need to be worked out for it to
flow better. He believes they should look at opportunities to reduce. Weston & Sampson's
Human Resources Department controls the Survey Monkey account, due to confidentiality
purposes, so only one person can make edits. He has had a lot of back and forth to make said
changes. They will shoot for a launch at the end of the month. The link he provides Friday is
4
